There is something mystical, or perhaps magical, about Nature's magnificent beauty that draws us in to make a journey to enjoy the sights, sounds and even smells of these natural wonders.   We are drawn towards oceans and beaches; towards rivers, lakes, and meadows and mountains, fields and forests, parks and gardens, for we intuitively "know" that these places make us feel "good" mentally, physically and spiritually. It's Nature's power to heal.

JESUS CALMS THE STORM - LUKE 8:22-25

One day Jesus said to his disciples, "Let us go over to the other side of the lake."  So they got into a boat and set out.  As they sailed, he fell asleep.  A squall come down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger.

The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Master, Master, we're going to drown.  He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm.  "Where is your faith?" he asked his disciples.  In fear and amazement they asked one another, "Who is this?  He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him."

There are many storms in this enterprise we call life.  As a people of faith, we worship the One, Christ Jesus, who needs only speak the words and the wind and the waves obey. He is also Creator, and as Creator of all things, he spoke the word, and all things came into being.
