When tears are falling and minds are sad, 
When life seems robbed of the bliss it had,
When hearts seem empty, bereft and lone, 
When treasured gifts are no longer known,
It is then, it is then that Christ will draw near, 
And lovingly and tenderly dry each tear.

He knows the anguish, the grief, the pain, 
He understands the tears than rain,
The hearts deep hunger, the loneliness, 
The loss, emptiness, and when depressed,
It i then, it is then, that Christ will draw near, 
And lovingly, tenderly, wipe each tear.

Almighty and All-loving God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we pray to you through Christ the Healer for those who suffer from the Coronavirus Covid-19 across 
the world. We pray too for all who reach out to those who mourn the loss of 
each and every person who has died as a result of contracting the disease.

Give wisdom to policymakers, skill to healthcare professionals and researchers, comfort to everyone in distress and a sense of calm to us all in these days 
of uncertainty and distress. This we ask in the name Of Jesus Christ our 
Lord who showed compassion to the outcast, acceptance to the 
rejected and love to those to whom no love was shown.
Amen.




I pray that out of his glorious riches God may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell richly in your hearts through faith.

I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together 
with all the Lord's holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and 
deep in the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge 
- that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Gracious God, as we journey with your Son, Jesus Christ our Saviour, we offer 
to you ourselves, our souls and bodied, to be a living and holy sacrifices to you.    Help us by the immeasurable power of your Hoy Spirit, to not conform to the 
pattern of this world, but to be transformed by the renewal of our minds.  
This we ask in the precious name above all names - and that all our thoughts, 
words and actions will be pleasing to your good and perfect will.  
Amen.

Gracious God, in holy baptism, we have died with Christ, and we are raised to the 
new life in Christ, strengthen us, and help us to set our hearts and our minds 
things above, where Christ is, seated at your right hand in glory.

Gracious God, through Christ we have taken off the old self and put on the new 
self.  Help us put to death those things that belong to the earthly nature, sexual 
immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.   Help us 
to rid ourselves of all such things as anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy 
language from our lips and that we do not lie to each other.  
Amen.


Gracious God, you have chosen us, not for privilege, but for your divine purpose.  Therefore, as your chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe us with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.   Teach us to bear with each other 
and to forgive one another, remembering that you first forgave us.   May all that 
we say and do be bound in your unconditional love, and to the glory of your name.  
In the precious name of our Saviour Jesus Christ we are bold to pray.

Gracious God, we pray that your peace, the peace of Christ, may rule in our hearts.   We pray heavenly Father, that we might have thankful hearts that are filled with songs of your Spirit, and may gratitude for your Son be always first in our minds, and that 
the good news of Jesus Christ may be on our lips and dwell richly in our hearts.  
Amen.


Gracious God, through Christ, help us to regard no one from a worldly point 
of view.  Enlighten the eyes of our hearts that we may see that anyone who 
is in Christ, are a new creation, adopted sons and daughters, and that for 
them, as for ourselves, the old has gone and the new has come. 
Amen.





The peace of God, which passes all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in the knowledge and love of God, and of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord; and the blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, be amongst you, and remain with you always.

God has not promised we shall not know,
